PICU RN
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend
Required Qualifications
- Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS
- PALS
- 2 years of experience in PICU
Unit Details
- PICU
- 16 ICU beds and 16 INT beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:2
- Common patient types include Medical/Surgical/Neuro and CV ICU
- 24/7 charge RN and house supervisor coverage
- 1 PCT for the unit
- 24/7 intensivist coverage with APP and residents
- Bedside Phillips monitors
- Nurses should be able to recognize rhythm changes and understand associated interventions
Floating
- May float to PIC and lower levels of care by turn
- NICU/NIC is up to the traveler
- Full teams may float
Other Details
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Negative drug screen required
- No call or standby requirement
- 3 to 4 unit orientation shifts
- Scrub color is unrestricted, but attire should be child-friendly
