Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Assignment Details
- Travel/contract role in Washington
- 13-week contract
- Day and evening 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating weekends
- Block schedule required
- No nights
- No floating
- No on-call
- 48 hours not approved
Work Setting
- Critical access, no trauma facility
- 25 staffed beds
- Teaching hospital
- Expected patient ratio: 1:3–4
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NURSYS verification required
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- NIH Stroke Certification
- IV Certification
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- CPI
- Competency exam
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Skills checklist
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application with at least the last 5 years of employment
- Work history verification may be required if using a reference exception
Health and Compliance
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask clearance
- Tdap within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB or chest X-ray
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, flu, and COVID documentation
- Drug screen within 12 months of start
- Respirator safety clearance
- Background check
- Education verification
- Washington state patrol search
