Summary
Assists cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology [EP] studies, and radiofrequency [RF] ablations on newborns, children, and adults with congenital heart disease.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a radiologic technology program
- ARRT (R)
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Ohio
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pediatric/adult congenital
- Experience with sterile technique
- CNOR
- National certification
Additional Notes
- Must be able to scrub into procedures as a sterile scrub assistant and manage x-ray equipment
- Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and EP ablation procedures
- Monitors invasive cardiac waveforms and pressure gradients, including communication of patient vital signs and EKG data
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining par levels, plus general equipment troubleshooting
