Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Role Overview
Travel assignment in the Cath Lab with 4 rooms and 1 patient per room.
Unit Details
- 22 staff total, including RNs and Techs
- Day shift includes 1 Charge RN, a Director, and 4 staff members per room
- Night shift uses an on-call team
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Equipment includes all GE rooms
- EMR systems used: Meditech and MacLab
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
- Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ARRT
- Cath Lab Tech Certification
- Competency in Special Procedures
- Competency in GE Innova
Preferred Qualifications
- RCIS
Procedures / Clinical Experience
- Cardiac Cath
- Cerebella angiograms
- Stents
- Balloons
- ENT Lab
- Scrubbing
Work Environment
- On-call is frequent
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to unit needs
- Team-oriented, close-knit, fast-paced environment with a patient-care focus
Dress Code
- Red and gray in Cath and EP Labs
- Unit scrubs may be used
