Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
- Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NBRC
- NRP
- PALS
- ICU Experience
Preferred
- Likes a fast paced environment
- Rotating weekends
- Call is preferable: one 24-hour shift every 5-6 weeks
Clinical Details
- Typical equipment: oxygen, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, blood gas machines
- Typical procedures: nebulizers, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, arterial blood gases
- Patient ratio: normal floor assignment of 20-25 treatments per round
- Day shift staffing: 3/4
- Night shift staffing: 3
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
