Description
ICU RN
Overview
- Role: ICU RN
- Location: Oakland, Maryland
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Hours: 36 per week
Unit Details
- Unit: ICU
- Beds: 4
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
- Patient types: Respiratory failure, afib.rvr, suicide, detox, some medsurg overflow, occasional art lines, pediatrics
- Float scope: May float to medsurg if census is low
Required Qualifications
- ICU experience
- RN license
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- NIHSS - AHA Only
- Must be able to titrate drips
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend required
- Night shift is Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Holidays rotate with regular staff
- No call or standby requirement
Unit Support
- House Supervisor in house; no charge nurse
- 1 clinical assistant most days, 24 hours/day depending on census
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house
- RT in ICU 24/7
- RNs monitor and read strips for medsurg and ICU
Additional Notes
- Any scrub color except camo or orange
- 3–5 days of unit training
- Zoom implementation
- 50-mile radius rule; submissions must include an unexpired driver’s license
