Assignment Details
- Travel assignment
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend
- No floating
- 20 beds
- Patient ratio: 4:1
- Current daily volume: 105
- Documentation system: MEDITECH
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kentucky
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- PALS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
- NIH Certification
Unit Procedures
- LAC repairs
- Closed reductions
- Intubations

Unit Notes
- Unit staffing includes unit clerk/monitor tech, paramedic, and advanced care tech
- Uses AIDET, communication boards, and rounding for patient experience
- Tenured staff and charge nurses on days and nights
- Average discharge LOS is 150 minutes
- Admitted LOS is 240 minutes
- Very few admitted holds for more than 3-4 hours after admission order is placed
- Engaged provider group that sees patients quickly
