Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Radiation Therapist license in Virginia
- Experience: Radiation Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Recent Experience: Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- Certifications: BLS issued by American Heart Association, ARRT
Responsibilities
- Provides daily care of cancer patients, including accurate interpretation and delivery of radiation treatments per the radiation oncologist’s prescription and instruction
- May perform simulations and provide clinical instruction for radiation therapy students
- Required during Brachytherapy procedures
- Assists in treatment planning procedures including tumor localization and dosimetry
- Triage sick patients to nursing for evaluation
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with some variation depending on the schedule
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
