Description
Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Role Overview
- Temp Respiratory Therapist role in Windsor, Vermont.
- Day shift, 12 hours per day.
- 13-week contract.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Vermont.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of experience.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- NBRC.
- Driver's License.
- Experience with Cerner.
Preferred
- At least 6 months previous travel experience.
- PFTs.
- Willingness to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and Pulmonary Rehab.
Clinical Setting
- Patient population: Pediatric to Geriatric.
- Trauma level: Critical Access Hospital.
- Unit/facility includes a 35-bed critical access community hospital, 25 inpatient medical-surgical beds, and a 10-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit.
Scheduling and Attendance
- Requested time off must be noted and verified at upload.
- No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.
- Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two holiday blocks if scheduled/needed.
- Scheduling requests after upload, at interview, or after offer will not be approved.
- After 3 call offs, the contract may be terminated at the facility’s discretion.
- Each call off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance.
Additional Details
- Ability to work independently with invasive/non-invasive ventilation, draw ABGs, and assist with intubations.
- EMR: Cerner.
- Non-billable orientation: 8 hours.
- Dress code: Business casual or personal scrubs of any color.
