Interventional Radiology

Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in Everett, Washington
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• Call required: 5–7 days per month
• Weekend requirement applies only for on-call
• Guaranteed hours: 70 per 2 weeks
• Start date: ASAP
• Locals not accepted
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Washington
• Interventional Radiology Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• ARRT (R)
• Angiogram procedures experience
• Nephrostomy procedures experience
• Venous access procedures experience

Preferred Qualifications

• C-Arm
• Biopsies
• Ablations
• Kyphoplasty

Required Experience / Skills

• Contrast
• Angigrams
• Nephogram
• Venous Access

Unit / Clinical Setting

• Interventional Radiology unit based in the operating room
• 3 single plane IR rooms, 1 biplane room, and 1 hybrid room
• Procedures are also performed in a radiology room and CT
• Team includes 2 Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1–2 Vascular Surgeons, and 1 PA/NP per day

Procedures

• Cerebral angiography including intervention
• Stroke intervention
• Angiography including intervention of all body parts except the heart
• Y90
• Chemoembolization
• Cryoablation
• Venography including intervention
• Various biopsies using fluoro, CT, or ultrasound
• Venous access: port, dialysis, central lines
• Gastrostomy
• Various drains: biliary, nephrostomy, abscess

Additional Notes

• No floating between like units
• Scrub color: any except reddish orange
• Charting system: EPIC
• Parking is facility paid
