Step Down Intermediate Care RN

Job Overview

Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend; every other holiday
Patient ratio: 1:4
Unit size: 22-bed stepdown unit
Charting system: Cerner PowerChart
Contract length: 13 weeks
First-time travelers: Accepted
Local candidates: Not accepted if living within 50 miles of the facility

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Stepdown experience with 2 years of experience
Stepdown experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Cerner

Preferred Qualifications

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

Background check covering the last 7 years and all states lived/worked
Education verification or diploma/transcript
Physical exam
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
Employment application
Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement
TB questionnaire
Immunization or immunity documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
Fit mask testing required for this location within one year of start
