RN - Rapid Response

Overview

Travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina
6-week contract
48 hours guaranteed
Overtime after 48 hours
RTO/special scheduling will not be accommodated

Unit

Emergency Dept. (ER)
101 beds
Typical patient ratio: 4:1; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
No floating outside the ED; must be open to floating to all sections in the ED

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Critical Care Float experience within the last year
2 years of experience as a Critical Care Float
Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
Rapid Response experience
ED - Emergency Department experience
BLS
ACLS before starting date
PALS before starting date
TNCC before starting date
CPI before starting date
NIHSS before starting date
ENPC within 90 days of hire

Preferred

Previous HCA experience

Scheduling

Every other weekend
Cannot commit to block scheduling
Scheduling must meet department needs

Additional Details

Orientation includes 4 hours of hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
Required uniform: navy scrubs
Techs work in the cardiac monitoring unit and internal processing area
Unit clerks are available days and nights
