Description

RN Perioperative (OR)

Overview

  • Role: RN – Perioperative (OR)
  • Unit/Department: Operating Room (Periop)
  • Location: Providence, Rhode Island
  • Schedule: Nights, 36 hours/week, three 12-hour shifts (7p–7a)
  • Shift pattern: Predominantly nights
  • Weekends/Holidays: Included; holidays required with no exceptions
  • Contract dates: 11/02/2026 to 01/02/2027
  • Extension: No extension available
  • EMR: EPIC required
  • Time off: Candidates with no time off requests are preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Rhode Island
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Perioperative experience
  • OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
  • Experience with C-sections, D&C, PPTL, and D&E procedures
  • Experience with Epic
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Driver's License

  • CNOR

  • Flu vaccine required
  • COVID-19 vaccine required with no exemptions
  • N95 fit test required before start
  • MMR documentation required
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination required
  • 2-step PPD or IGRA required
  • Varicella documentation required
  • Tdap within 10 years required
  • Driver’s license or state ID required
  • Background check required
  • Employment verification for the last 5 years required
  • BSN required
  • RN skills checklist required
  • Professional references required, including at least 1 supervisory reference
