PCU RN

Location

Roseburg, Oregon

Contract Length

Unit Details

  • PCU
  • 20 beds
  • Ratios: 1:3, with a maximum of 1:4 if medical overflow

Required Qualifications

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • Drivers License required at time of submittal
  • Acute care, cardiac, and respiratory experience
  • RN license for Oregon is not required at time of submittal; the facility can request a 90 Day Emergency License

Preferred / Additional Notes

  • Charge nurse and house supervisor coverage are both present on the unit
  • Nurse aides are available on the unit
  • Telemetry monitoring is used, with monitor techs and RNs reading strips
  • RNs titrate drips minimally

  • Cardiac

Drips / Equipment

  • Cardizem

Schedule

  • Nights, 12-hour shifts: 1845-0715
  • Every other weekend
  • 1 major and 1 minor holiday

Call / Float

  • Placed on call for low census only, with an expected maximum response time of 45 minutes if called in
  • Floats first to ICU or Med/Surg
