Unit Details
- PCU
- 20 beds
- Ratios: 1:3, with a maximum of 1:4 if medical overflow
Required Qualifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Drivers License required at time of submittal
- Acute care, cardiac, and respiratory experience
- RN license for Oregon is not required at time of submittal; the facility can request a 90 Day Emergency License
Preferred / Additional Notes
- Charge nurse and house supervisor coverage are both present on the unit
- Nurse aides are available on the unit
- Telemetry monitoring is used, with monitor techs and RNs reading strips
- RNs titrate drips minimally

- Placed on call for low census only, with an expected maximum response time of 45 minutes if called in
- Floats first to ICU or Med/Surg
