Med Surg RN
Overview
- Temp contract in West Des Moines, Iowa
- Nights shift
- 13-week assignment
- 30-bed unit
- Patient types: med surg and post op/spine
- Float scope: all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 3 months or more of total travel experience within the previous 12 months
- Strong heparin experience
- Post-operative/surgical experience
- Spine care experience
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- Experience with Epic
- Driver's License
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional reference/reference check from within 24 months of today’s date
Additional Details
- EPIC EMR experience is required
- Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed
- NBO: 16 hours
- Scrubs: navy blue, solids
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: days 1:5, nights 1:6
