Mammography Technologist

Overview

  • Temp role in Dallas, Texas
  • Day shift, 8 hours per day
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Must be willing to float to all Breast Imaging locations as scheduled

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Mammography Technologist license in Texas
  • 2+ years of Mammography Technologist experience
  • Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT (R) certification
  • Active American Heart Association BLS
  • Resume
  • Skills checklist specific to Mammography
  • 2 supervisory references from within the last year
  • Proof of taxable address

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT Advanced Certification in Mammography
  • Experience with screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, biopsies, and needle localizations
  • Previous travel experience

Work Details

  • Performs mammography tests and develops results to produce quality breast images for radiologists
  • May assist physicians in special procedures
  • Accesses and handles selected medications
  • Performs quality control checks in accordance with American College of Radiology standards
  • Maintains documentation in the Radiology Information System
  • May provide training and supervision to radiologic students rotating through the mammography area
  • Cases per tech: 20-25 per day
  • Equipment: Hologic 7 units and GE 2 units
