Med/Surg Float RN
Location
- Little Rock, Arkansas
Assignment Details
- 13-week contract
- Day shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
- Float Pool between Med/Onc, 2 surgical units, and 2 medical units
- Unit: MedSurg
- 128 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
- Total care; no PCAs
- Remote tele monitoring
- Floating may include any Med/Surg pod
Required Qualifications
- BLS (AHA)
- Basic medical/surgical relevant and current experience
- Large hospital experience
Schedule
- Every other weekend
- 3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
Additional Notes
- No tele, except occasional strip reading
- Charge nurse is present on each shift and takes an assignment
- Nurse aids/patient care techs are available
- Respiratory support is readily available; no routine RN respiratory equipment duties on the unit
- Navy scrubs required
- No call or standby requirement
