Tele RN

Overview

• 13-week contract in Uniontown, Pennsylvania
• Night shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Unit: 3W Stepdown (28 private beds)

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Unexpired driver’s license copy must be included with submittal
• Must be able to read and interpret strips
• Must be able to titrate drips: Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin
• Must be able to work with Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow

Schedule

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday

Float Scope

• May float to ICU as helping hands

Unit Details

• Ratios: 1:4-5, or 1:6 for MedSurg acuity
• Tele monitors: yes
• Charge nurse on days has no assignments; night charge may have an assignment
• No IV team; ICU charge nurses or ICU Director can be called for difficult IV sticks
• RT and Pharmacy are in-house 24/7
• Floor orientation: 2 shifts with a preceptor

Patient Population

• Heavy cardiac, including dysrhythmias and CVAs
• Mix of patients, including those downgraded from ICU
