Location

Assignment Details

13-week contract
12-hour shifts
Shift times: 0630-1830, 1830-0630
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Unit: 4th Floor East Wing
Level of care: PCU
55 beds
Patient population: adults; pediatrics are rare and limited to ages 15 and older
RN ratio: 1:4 on days and nights
Float: yes, ideally to MS areas; float depends on highest need

Required Qualifications

ACLS
BLS
Telemetry
Driver’s license required at submittal

Additional Notes

Manager interview with no clinical involvement
Pass/fail exam during orientation; must score 90% to pass
Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
Common patient diagnoses include CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, COVID, subdural hematoma, and weakness
Common drips/medications include PCA pumps for pain management, cardizem, and insulin
Nursing assistant support: yes
Charge nurse: yes
Additional unit support includes educator, care managers, social workers, dieticians, PT, and OT
Specialty equipment available: mechanical lifts in every other room
