Location

• Travel/Contract

Assignment Details

• Day shift, 4x12 hours
• 48 hours per week
• Contract length: 26 weeks
• 1st timers accepted
• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Pre-approved time off is case by case

Unit / Setting

• High Risk / High Volume L&D
• 4 ORs
• 31 rooms
• 31 beds
• Average daily census: 15
• 500–600 deliveries per month

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 3 years of registered nurse experience
• Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 2 years of experience in high-acuity and high-pace environments
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• Experience circulating in the operating room
• Experience providing newborn care including eye care, Vitamin K injections, thigh assessments, and newborn assessments
• Experience functioning as a baby nurse during delivery and providing care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum
• Current supervisory references
• Proof of required certifications with submission
• Current NURSYS
• Must pass clinical review
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Must circulate
• Must provide newborn care, including eyes and thighs assessment, Vit K injections, and newborn assessments
• EPIC familiarity

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of high risk experience
• ACLS
• AWHONN Advanced
• AWHONN Intermediate

Float / Coverage

• May float to Postpartum and Antepartum
• May float to sister facilities that do Mother/Baby

Clinical Notes

• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
• Uses heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
• Electronic fetal monitoring is part of the role
