Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

• Location: Gillette, Wyoming
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, day/night rotate
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Unit: Labor & Delivery / Post-Partum / Well-Baby / NICU
• Facility has 4 LDR rooms, 15 post-partum beds, 7 well-baby beds, and 7 NICU beds

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wyoming prior to start date, or eligibility for a temporary RN license with a clear background
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting working in both Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum
• Experience with Pitt and/or Magnesium drip
• Experience managing Antenatal/Perinatal high-risk patients
• Extensive experience working in a tertiary level facility
• BLS certification issued through American Heart Association
• Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Schedule Details

• Works every other weekend
• Holidays as needed by the department
• Flexible day and night shifts
• Option to pick up extra shifts

Additional Details

• Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Scrubs are provided
• Average of 65 babies delivered per month
• Deliveries under 32 weeks are sent to another facility
• OR handles C-sections
• Typical ratios: 1:2 for laboring patients; 1:5 to 6 for stable post-partum mothers or 3 stable couplets
