Physical Therapist

Overview

• Outpatient physical therapy role in Blue Hill, Maine.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Start: ASAP.
• Manager interviews.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Maine.
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year.
• 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS.
• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Experience in an outpatient setting.

Patient Population / Clinical Focus

• Mostly adults and school-aged children with non-pediatric developmental diagnoses.
• Common cases include post-ortho, post-spinal surgeries, geriatrics, work injuries, neurological imbalance, and general rural-community PT needs.
• 60-minute evaluations and treatments with single-patient care.

Skills

• Experience with the patient types listed above.
• Manual therapy.
• Exercise science.
• Patient education.
• Education on adaptive equipment such as walkers, canes, and crutches.

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday.
• 4 ten-hour shifts.
• 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• No weekend rotation.
• No on-call.
• Closed on major holidays; may work 50% of minor holidays.
• RTO must go through manager.

Orientation

• NEO.
• Remainder of the first week to 1.5 weeks is orientation, with increasing patient load over time.

Department / Support

• 3 PTs total.
• 1 PSR.
• At least 1 assistant supervisor available, not always on site.
• Manager available by phone.

• No floating.
• EMR: Cerner PowerChart.
• Free parking.
• Scrubs: any solid color scrubs or business casual.
