Operating Room Nurse

Location

Augusta, Georgia

Assignment Details

Travel/contract role
14-week assignment
Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
Adults to geriatrics patient population
16 operating rooms with an average daily census of 35
Local candidates accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Georgia
OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Setting

Main OR cases include general, neuro, spine, ortho, robotics, urology, vascular, and colorectal
Floating is rare but may occur within facility scope of practice

Schedule Expectations

2–3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on call
7–8 call shifts per 8-week schedule
1 weekend call and 1–2 weekend shifts
2–3 weekday night call shifts during the same 8-week period
May be expected to work major holidays during the assignment period

Start / Compliance Notes

Full compliance is required to start on time
Start may be delayed by 2 weeks if compliance is not complete in time

Additional Notes

Scrub color is provided by the facility
Maximum RTO: 7 days
Spring Break blackout dates: April 4–12
Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length
