Overview

• Travel/contract PCU RN assignment in Overland Park, Kansas.
• Ratios: 1:5.
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 to 19:15.
• 36 hours per week.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• First-timers accepted.
• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments may be needed per unit.
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period, with a combination of F/S/S.
• Does not accept local candidates within 75 miles of the facility.
• Pending license not accepted.
• No more than 7 days of RTO.
• Float pool position; will not have a home unit and will float between about 5 units, including Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments and other Metro campuses as needed.
• Required skills include MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring on the unit, pre/post cardiac cath, sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, stroke, COVID, virtual nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• Sheath removal
• Feeding tube care and management
• Accessing ports
• Blood product administration
• Central line care/management

• On-call is not required.
• Block scheduling is not available.
