Overview

• Travel/contract role in Overland Park, Kansas
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45–19:15
• 36 hours per week
• Ratios: 1:5
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• First-timers accepted
• Float pool position; no home unit
• Will float between about 5 units across Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments and to other Metro campuses as needed
• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period, with a combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday
• No on-call
• No block schedule accommodation
• No locals; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
• No pending license accepted
• RTO limit: no more than 7 days
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown experience
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring on the unit
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath experience
• Experience with sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, Stroke, and COVID
• 12 lead EKG

• Physical exam within 1 year of start

• Tdap vaccine or Aya declination
