RN Emergency Room

Overview

• 13-week travel assignment in Fort Madison, Iowa
• Day shift: 08:00 - 20:30
• Every other holiday rotation is required
• May occasionally be placed on call during low census and must be able to arrive on-site within one hour if called in

Role Summary

• Responsible for assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Department
• Must triage safely, rapidly, and accurately
• Coordinates care with other professional disciplines as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• TNCC
• NIH Certification
• CPI/MOAB
• Basic dysrhythmia test out must be passed during orientation
• Self-study of telemetry strips upon acceptance
• 2 professional references, including 1 from a supervisor
• Driver's License
