Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour day and evening shifts

Required Qualifications

• RN
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• PALS (AHA)
• ED experience
• Driver’s license required at submittal

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC
• NRP

Unit Details

• ER / Trauma Center
• 33 total beds/trauma bays: 25 adult beds and 8 pediatric beds
• 2 trauma bays: 1 adult and 1 pediatric
• 2 separate triage bays
• ER holds are intermixed with ER patients
• ER nurses manage their own holds
• In-house security
• Typical patient volume is 70–85 per day
• Ratio is 1 RN to 4 patients
• All rooms are capable of cardiac monitoring
• Radiology is near the ED, but not within the department
• RT completes ABGs and breathing treatments
• ED RNs and ED Techs complete EKGs
• Nurse draw for 95% of orders
• Floating is only to the peds ED
• No floating to inpatient units
• Navy scrubs
• 1–2 days of unit orientation before working independently

Additional Requirements

• Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care
• RNs must pass/fail an open-book exam during orientation and receive a 90% to pass
