Overview

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona
• Setting: ED / Trauma
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Evenings, 12 hours/day, 36 hours/week
• Orientation: Weekly orientations on Mondays, except holiday weeks

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• 2 years of ER experience
• Level I Trauma experience
• Core/permanent staff experience
• Cerner EMR experience
• Must have their own vehicle
• Must be able to pass the Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam prior to acceptance
• Must be gone from CommonSpirit for 12 months as perm staff to be considered for a travel assignment
• Must not be working another assignment/contract at the same time
• Must meet the facility’s onboarding deadline with no pending items
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings

• TNCC
• ATCN

Unit Details

• Unit size: Acute 36 beds, Subacute 54 beds, 6 trauma bays
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Charge coverage: 2 charge RNs
• Support: 4 PCTs for sitters
• Tele monitoring: Phillips monitors; must be able to read strips
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month
• Floating: May float between St. Joseph’s Main, St. Joseph’s Westgate, AZ General Laveen, and free-standing ERs in Litchfield Park and Glendale
• Scrub color: Navy
• RT / Pharmacy: RT 24/7; Pharmacy 24/7
• Common patient types: Trauma, burns, and pediatric transfers out

Additional Notes

• Level I experience required
• Teaching hospital
• Travel teams must have their own vehicles
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• SIMs Lab and day 1 pass/fail exam are required
• Facility will not consider contracts shorter than 13 weeks
