Overview

• Role: ER RN
• Location: Phoenix, Arizona
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Level I experience in the specialty being submitted to
• 2 years of core experience in the specialty being submitted to
• At least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience
• Previous travel experience for ED and Neuro ICU
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Cerner EMR experience
• Must have been gone from CommonSpirit for 12 months as perm staff to be considered for a travel assignment
• Cannot work another assignment/contract while working for Dignity AZ
• Must have their own vehicle
• Must pass the Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam prior to acceptance, with a maximum of 2 attempts
• Must complete onboarding by 1pm CST Wednesday before start with no pending items
• No facial piercings
• Natural hair colors only
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test

Unit Details

• Unit: ED / Trauma
• Beds: Acute 36, Subacute 54, Trauma bays 6
• Ratio: 1:4
• Charge RNs: 2
• Nurse aides: 4 PCTs for sitters
• Scrub color: Navy
• Telemetry monitors: Phillips; must be able to read strips
• RT available 24/7
• Pharmacy available 24/7
• Hospitalist or intensivists in house
• Floating: sister campus Westgate or AZ General Laveen, FSED West Valley, Litchfield Park, and Glendale

Additional Notes

• Weekly orientations are on Mondays, except holiday weeks
• This is a teaching hospital
• Travelers may be expected to have nursing students
• SIMs Lab is required for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus and/or St. Joseph Westgate campus, except for ED-specific exceptions noted in the source
• 4 weekend shifts per month, at unit discretion
