Description
RN Flex Pool
Overview
- Contract role in Hilo, Hawaii.
- 12-hour day shifts, 0645 to 1915.
- Scheduled 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation; no guarantee of hours.
- Contract length: 15 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Hawaii
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- Stepdown experience within the last year
- 2 years of Stepdown experience
- Med Surg experience
- CVU - Cardiovascular Unit experience
Preferred Qualifications
- PALS
- Procedural Sedation
- TNCC
- ENPC
Unit / Float Scope
- Flex RN floats between various medical and surgical units.
- May float to Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and on rare occasions Cardiovascular Unit.
- Unit sizes: Medical 77 beds, Laulima 18 beds, Cardiovascular 15 beds.
Additional Details
- Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity.
- Equipment used in the unit includes Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: Medical 1:6 days/eves and 1:8 nights; Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4.
- Professional nursing attire; clean scrubs.
- Orientation time is provided for each unit.
- Must arrive the Thursday before start for an employee health appointment on Friday.
