Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips
Experience with conscious sedation
Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Management of dysrhythmias
Use of Rapid Response Teams
IV insulin protocols
Blood Product Administration
Central line care and management
PICC line management
Heparin Protocols

Required Skills

ICU stepdown / PCU / DOU / IMC / stepdown experience
Telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
Rapid response team experience

ICU stepdown unit with a 1:3-4 target ratio
Strong drip experience is emphasized
One pressor drip per patient on the unit; additional pressors require transfer to ICU
No vents on the unit

Post-rapid-response patients
Respiratory distress
Unstable hemodynamics
Withdrawal
GI bleeds
Post-op GYN, GU, GI, thoracotomy, neuro, and ortho patients
Pre/post OB patients with complications

Additional Notes

RTO after booking is not allowed
Navy, white, or a combination of the two scrubs are permitted
