CST/ORT - OR

Role

Travel CST/ORT role in the OR.

Setting

• Level III
• General OR
• Neuro, spine, ortho, robotic, and vascular cases

Shift

• 7AM - 7PM

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of either a surgical technology program or an LVN/LPN program
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• CST
• Certified Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience
• Ability to proficiently scrub 3 specialty areas, including Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, and Robotics

Responsibilities

• Assists with pre-operative patient care and OR preparation
• Maintains aseptic technique and the sterile field
• Sets up tables, instruments, and supplies for cases
• Passes instruments and sutures to the physician
• Uses and updates physician preference cards
• Supports patient transport, positioning, specimen handling, and OR sanitation practices
