RN Med Surg
Overview
- Travel RN position in Indianapolis, Indiana
- Floor/Unit: 3 West Post-Surgical
- Specialty: Med/Surg, Post-Surgical
- 1 contractor needed for nights
- Shift: 1900-0730, rotating days, 3 shifts per week
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend/holiday rotation: every 3rd weekend, rotating holidays
- No call
- Contract length: 16 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- Experience with drains
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-Surgical experience
- Med/Surg experience
Unit Details
- 34 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- Equipment: Pyxis
- EMR: Epic
Float Scope
- Float to similar med surg units based on rotation and needs
Patient Population
- Post-op patients from general surgery, including bariatric surgery
- Overflow medical patients
Additional Details
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Education modules are assigned upon hire and must be completed before reporting to the floor
