RN Emergency Room

Overview

• Location: Fort Madison, Iowa
• Employment type: LTA
• Shift: 14:00 - 02:30
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Every other holiday rotation is required.

Role Summary

• The Emergency Room RN provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Responsible for safe, rapid, and accurate triage of every patient entering the emergency care system.
• Coordinates care with other professional disciplines as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS
• ACLS
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• CPI/MOAB
• Driver's License
• 2 professional references, including 1 from a supervisor
• Resume or profile

Scheduling / Call

• Not part of a regular call rotation, but may occasionally be placed on call during low census.
• If called in, must be able to arrive on-site within one hour.
