Overview
- Travel assignment in Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Full-time schedule: 5 days, 8 hours
- Start: ASAP
- Weekend work required
- On-call required
- Floating required
- Blocked scheduling is not accommodated
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist with 1 year of experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience
- Ability to proficiently scrub 3 specialty areas, including Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, and Robotics
Role Details
- Assists in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients
- Prepares patient skin for surgery
- Maintains aseptic technique and sterile field
- Transports patients to and from the Operating Room suite
- Positions patients for surgery
- Identifies and cares for biological specimens
- Sets up OR tables, instruments, and supplies
- Uses physician preference cards for case setup
- Works with decontamination, processing, and sterilization of instruments and supplies
- Epic is used for EMR
