Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Lake Charles, Louisiana
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00–19:00
• 36 hours per week
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• No RTO

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• CPI
• Trauma experience
• RN license verification through NURSYS
• State license verification
• Background check and required onboarding/health documentation before start
• COVID vaccination required, with only facility-approved religious or medical exemptions
• Flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 30 days of start
• Physical exam
• Drug screen within the last 12 months
• Immunity or documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella

Preferred

• Trauma ED experience
• More travel experience
• NRP
• ENPC

• CPI class is available through the facility if not already held
• Start as soon as possible
• Vacation or travel plans during the contract are not preferred
