Surgical Tech - Certified
Overview
- Surgical Technologist role serving as a primary scrub person or assistant for operative procedures.
- Specialty: CST Vascular
- Location: Paducah, Kentucky
- Contract length: 26 weeks
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0630-1500
- Call: every other day and every other weekend
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist with 7 years of experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS
- NBSTSA or CST or NCCT or TS-C
- CST Vascular
- Technical diploma in surgical technology or comparable military training

Responsibilities
- Scrub into cases and prepare instruments and supplies
- Maintain the sterile field during case setup and throughout the case
- Pass instruments, assist the physician as needed, and support draping and patient positioning
- Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts
- Complete post-case cleaning duties, gross decontamination of instruments, and transport/return of instruments to Central Sterile
- Ensure the surgical suite is disinfected, stocked, and ready for the next procedure
- Complete mandatory hospital education and maintain compliance with HR and Employee Health requirements
