Respiratory Therapist (Adults)

Overview

• Travel role in Reno, Nevada
• Department: Respiratory Care Services
• Shift: 3x12s, rotating days of the week, varied shifts
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Call requirements: to be discussed during interview

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Nevada
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• One 13-week or more of total travel experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Experience in a Critical Care setting
• Must apply for State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license, Director of Point of Care, or General supervisor of Point of Care prior to start
• Must have license in hand before submitting

Work Setting

• Direct patient care
• May float to the needs of the organization up to competency level
• May work major holidays, weekends, and some call shifts
• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Low-census call-offs may occur with 48 hours’ notice, per 13-week contract

Clinical Environment

• Busy, fast-paced setting
• Level II trauma center
• 800 inpatient beds
• 80 ER beds
• Serves newborn through geriatric patients
• Works with critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care
