Step Down RN
Overview
- Location: South Bend, Indiana
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Weekly hours: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Local candidates: Not accepted; must live outside 50 miles
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Stepdown experience within the last year
- 1 year of stepdown experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Telemetry experience
- Stroke experience
- Cardiac drip experience including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Lasix
Additional Job Details
- Must be proficient in reading, identifying, and reacting to cardiac rhythms
- Unit includes cardiac floors with patients receiving drips such as heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, and Lasix
- May care for renal patients with hemodialysis support
- Uses all modes of oxygenation except vents
