Description

RN Rehab

Overview

  • Travel RN role in a free-standing rehab center in San Antonio, Texas.
  • 42-bed nursing unit.
  • 36 hours per week.
  • Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Rehabilitation (1 year of experience)
  • Rehabilitation experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inpatient Rehab Experience
  • Meditech experience

Unit Details

  • Rehab Nursing unit on the second floor
  • Staffing includes charge nurse, RNs, LVNs, and Patient Care Techs on both day and night shifts
  • Patient ratio: 5-6:1
  • Equipment includes hoyer lifts, SCD machines, wound vacs, Smart Pumps, and Purwicks

Clinical Focus

  • Lab draws
  • Diabetes management
  • Wound care
  • Ostomy care
  • IVs/catheter placement

Float Scope

  • Med surge
  • Med/Oncology

Schedule Notes

  • Prefer 4 weekend days per month, but flexible

Work Environment

  • Works with PT/OT/ST/Dietitian and values kindness, teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication
