Assignment Details

• 13 weeks
• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Unit: 7NE - Ortho/Tele
• 22 total beds
• Ratios: 1:5-6
• Floating may include 7E, 7W, 10W, and 10E
• Scrub color: Royal Blue

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Strong ortho experience
• Total Joint Replacement experience, not just fractures
• Must be able to work into the holiday rotation

Schedule Requirements

• Weekend requirement: every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule
• Unit orientation: 1-2 shifts on the unit; Saturday, Sunday, Monday, rotating holidays

Unit Notes

• Ortho/Tele unit
• Common patient types: Ortho joints, replacements, and fractures
• Tele is present, but RNs do not have to read strips
• Charge nurse is available 24/7
• 3 CNAs per shift
• RT/equipment support as needed

Submission Notes

• Only 1 position may be submitted at a time across the entire WVU system
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers who were there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
• All submissions must include an unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license
• Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email
• Up to 2 candidates per opening may be submitted
