Radiology Tech
Overview
- Days, 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
- Department: Radiology / Xray Tech
Required Qualifications
- BLS
- RTR
- 1 year of experience
- Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from the facility location
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong OR experience
- Strong Fluoro experience
- Previous travel experience
- Fuji Synapse / Epic experience
Clinical Setting and Duties
- Department has 2 scanners/rooms and 5 portables
- Covers outpatient, inpatient, and ER
- Common work includes ortho, chest, angi, portables in ICU and floor, fluoro cases, swallow studies, IVPs, HSTs, and OR training
- Average volume is 110 scans/studies per day
Schedule and Coverage
- Varied staggered shift starts
- Weekday shifts include 8s and 10s
- Weekend shifts include 12s and 13s
- 7 on / 7 off schedule is used
- Weekend coverage is usually scheduled or on rotation
- Holiday coverage is usually scheduled to cover permanent staff
- No call or standby
Orientation and Work Environment
- 1 to 2 weeks of orientation with a preceptor
- Flexibility is emphasized
- Expected to be in the area and ready to go by 7
- Hunter green scrubs required
- Plain black jacket allowed
- White, grey, black, or hunter green undershirt allowed
