Labor and Delivery
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Issaquah, Washington
- Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- 26-week contract
- Unit has 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
- Staffing ratio: 1:1–3
- Float scope includes Post-Partum and possibly L&D at Swedish First Hill
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart Stroke Foundation
- NRP
- EFM
- FHM
- AWHONN Intermediate
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- ACLS
Role Details
- Labor and Delivery RN
- Responsibilities include circulate, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low risk antepartum, and low risk LD
- Special procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
- Special equipment/clinical coverage includes attending all deliveries, attending high risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, couplet care, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Can request up to 2 major holidays off
- Travelers are required to work 1 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve
- Perm candidates from other Providence facilities outside Swedish are eligible if separated for at least 3 months
