Diagnostic Radiology

Role

Diagnostic Radiology Rad Tech

Location

Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day and evening shifts
  • 10 hours per day
  • 40 hours per week
  • 1 weekend every 4 weeks
  • 12 hours of call per month
  • Holidays required as needed and scheduled

Setting and Procedures

  • Fluoro/Diagnostic X-rays on inpatients and ED patients
  • Portable X-rays on patient floors
  • C-Arm procedures in the OR
  • Average of 20–25 patients in the ED per shift
  • Responsible for a portion of the portables on the floors

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in Nebraska
  • Radiology Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT (R)
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
  • Experience with the C-arm
  • Proficient in portable X-rays
  • Proficient in trauma imaging
  • Proficient in fluoroscopy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trauma experience
  • Fluoroscopy proficiency

Unit / Work Environment

  • No support staff except on the floors
  • Self-starter with good team skills and ability to adapt to changing situations

Orientation

  • Begins with NEO and departmental on-the-job training

Notes

  • Hospital scrubs are provided for surgery
  • Non-billable orientation hours: 12
