Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Dahlonega, Georgia

Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) role in a residential facility with work in the Detoxification Unit.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Clinic experience within the last year
- 1 year of clinic experience
- 1+ year of medication administration experience
- Experience with CIWA (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment) / COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale)
- BLS
- Addiction Medicine experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Opioid addiction center experience
Responsibilities
- Complete admission procedures, including paperwork, orientation, urinalysis collection, and searching belongings
- Administer and read the tuberculosis skin test
- Document nursing assessments, treatment plans, physician’s orders, progress notes, and other individual-related data
- Provide direct care and medically monitored evaluation and withdrawal management in the Detoxification Unit
- Monitor for signs and symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal, and for changes in condition
- Maintain a hygienic and safe work environment
- Update and maintain Medication Administration Records
- Manage and administer medication as ordered
- Provide directions to technicians on the assigned shift
- Develop treatment plans with individuals
- Provide emotional support, counseling, and answers to questions
- Consult with in-house staff and outside professionals to support comprehensive care
- Provide referrals for needs that cannot be met by the agency
- Maintain professional boundaries and appropriate interactions with clients
