    Description

    Post Partum RN

    Location

    • Colorado Springs, Colorado

    Assignment Length

    • 13 weeks

    Schedule

    • Nights
    • 12-hour shifts
    • 36 hours per week
    • 6-week block scheduling
    • Every third weekend

    Unit

    • L&D/PP/MB
    • 22 L&D beds
    • 2 OR suites for C-sections
    • 7 triage beds
    • 34 postpartum beds

    Patient Population

    • Postpartum vaginal, c-section, newborn

    Required Qualifications

    • BLS
    • NRP Advanced
    • Postpartum experience that included taking care and baby

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Labor and delivery experience

    Responsibilities / Unit Expectations

    • RNs are not required to titrate drips
    • No tele techs; RNs just need to visualize pulse ox reading
    • Charge nurse does not take patients

    Call

    • 18 hours of call every 6 weeks

    Floating

    • May float within Zone 1
    • Labor and delivery experience is helpful for floating, but not required

    Orientation

    • 1 shift to orient
    • Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote

    Dress Code

    • Navy Blue
