RRT - Respiratory Therapy

Overview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Wyoming
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • NBRC RRT
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Experience working with OB patients
  • Experience with intubation
  • Experience with insertion of arterial lines
  • Experience with ventilator management
  • Experience with pulmonary function studies
  • Experience with cardiac and pulmonary stress tests
  • Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Role Summary

  • Provide cardiopulmonary services as a registered or certified Respiratory Therapist
  • Follow approved protocols and department policies and procedures to provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to inpatients and outpatients
  • Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
  • Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
  • Maintain airways
  • Perform ventilator management
  • Insert arterial lines
  • Perform intubations
  • Conduct pulmonary function studies
  • Perform cardiac and pulmonary stress tests
  • Obtain blood gases
