Description

Speech Language Pathologist

Overview

Outpatient SLP for pediatric patients
Department: Rehab Services
Reports to: Rehab Services
Travel/Contract assignment in Pomona, California
Up to 5 shifts per week
Day shift: 08:00-17:00 or 0900-1800
Every 3rd weekend

Required Qualifications

Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California
Speech Language Pathologist (2 years of experience)
Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
High school diploma or equivalent, and master's degree or equivalent post-graduate education
Experience working with Pediatric patients
Experience working with Adult patients
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Experience in an Outpatient setting
Adult swallow evaluations and treatment
Cognitive evaluation and treatment
Tracheostomy and ventilator experience

Preferred Qualifications

Acute hospital experience
Adult swallow evaluations and treatment
Cognitive evaluation and treatments
Trach/Vent experience
Outpatient speech/swallow evaluation and treatment for neurologic conditions

Role Summary

Evaluate and treat pediatric patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallow deficits
Make recommendations, treatment plans, and provide follow-up care/treatment on inpatient acute floors or on an outpatient basis
