Description
Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Parkersburg, West Virginia
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- Set schedule
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- Never the only RT in the hospital
Required Qualifications
- RRT or CRT
- BLS
- Unexpired driver’s license
- Point of care license to analyze blood gases; can be obtained after the contract is signed

Clinical Setting
- Department: RT
- Covers all inpatient nursing units, PACU, Stress Lab, and ER
- Treats adults, pediatric, and neonate patients
- About 30–40 treatments per day
Responsibilities
- Draw and analyze blood gases
- Respond to rapid responses, codes, trauma, high flow, BiPAP, and ventilators
Additional Details
- Does not require independent intubation
- Hospitalist or intensivist in house
- Scrub color: Hunter Green
- Equipment includes Hamilton ventilator, Hamilton and Beliivista BiPAP, MaxTech High flow, Bubble CPAP, and Gem 7000 blood gas machine
