MRI Technologist

Overview

• Contract Clinician role in Cary, North Carolina
• 13-week contract
• 12 Hour Days

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR certification: BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association only
• ARRT(MR)
• Venipuncture Certification
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable
• State license, as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 1 year of MR experience in high volume environments
• Proficiency running advanced MR studies independently
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Previous experience managing customer interactions independently and resolving problems to mutual satisfaction
• Patient care skills with ability to explain complex medical terms and procedures in a manner that is easily understood by a non-medical audience

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MR studies and operate imaging and related equipment
• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and aseptic injection technique
• Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address concerns
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists
• Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators
• Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment to support operations and prevent downtime or delays in patient care
